Location of eLocker ECU ???
I'm getting a '98 4runner in a few weeks and getting an elocker rear axle from a "parts" 4Runner '99 Lmt. Could someone tell me exactly where the ecu/contoller/computer ??? is located as I won't have a lot of time to try to find it plus its hella cold....
And to make sure my parts list is correct:
-Full rear axle
-Controller/ECU
-Dash Switch
Is there anything else I will need from the parts truck to have everything for the eLocker??? Should I get the connecting wires or would they be too much trouble to get?
My main question though is where exactly is the ECU on a '99 4runner
Thanks in advance and see you on the trail soon
ps... I'm getting the whole rear axle for $300

look on www.sonoransteel.com phong's old write up is on steve's site and iirc, it has the locatoin and some very good info on it.
also, search "e-locker retrofit" too for more info
and you are one lucky dog to get all of that for $300! if you can find one more, please email me, alrighty?

Cool thanks,
It's located behind the driver's side kick panel (black box) for future searches
