Lifting

Hey guys well i am new to this and i just bought a 1985 Toyota, and would like to see if anyone could point me in the right direction. As what manufactures are best to use. Should i buy a complete kit i.e. Extreme Lift from AP. Any info to get me on the right direction would be awesome. Thanks guys!
