Red face

I would hope this is for off road use only. Depending on the mood of law enforcement officers it can be a good excuse to pull you over at least around here. While a good idea I just put a extra fuel cell that can be installed and removed easy for long road trips .

Once the gas tank is down below the capacity of the fuel cell it gravity feeds to main tank at the flip of a switch on the move.

Not for every one it has worked for me for 20 years or longer.

Wow that sound pretty cool. Where is you cell located? How big is it? How does it attach to the main tank and do you ever have any leaks? I would LOVE to see a writeup or some pictures of how it works

Ok, just got back from a long weekend camping trip. Sorry for the delay getting back to you. Here are some pics of my mount, bolted to the top rail of my spare tire mount and bolted at the bottom to the top of the licence plate bracket. Let me know what you think. Mike.

Got it. I just saw a picture of somebody that took the spare tire mount off a (I think) 2nd Gen runner and mounted it on his 4Runner, and it looked pretty good. Let me try to find it again and I will send you his link.

So I finally got a chance to get it all welded together. It turned out great, its gonna come in very handy for me. It was super easy too, If I really wanted to get it done fast I could have finished it in a few hours. Hope this inspires you guys to get some of those easy projects done!

Looks pretty sick! Now you just need to get the cans painted the same color, and it will look even better. I kind like that better than my bed mounted Jerry cans. Youight have just inspired me.

Yeah they both look pretty gross right now, that will change soon. The green one is for water, thats why it isnt red. Something like this would look perfect on a truck too

Nice job man, looks good. Yeah don't paint the water can, it's suppose to be a different colour.

very nice, but be careful, if a cop sees you on the road he'll probably write you up for covering your license plate

Haha yeah if I get rear ended then its bye bye for me and the 4runner! I wont be running this on the road too often, just on long camping trips. I'm gonna drive about 100 miles on pavement in about 3 weeks so I guess We'll see if I get any tickets.

93yota there was a guy on here selling a bunch of those water cans not too long ago...I'll see if I can find the thread
