Help with 94 4Runner
I recently purchased a stock 94 Toyota 4Runner SR5, 5spd w/ 130,000 miles on it, inspried by my roomates 97 limited 4Runner w/ a TRD supercharger. I have made a few mods. I installed a CD player and 2 12' kicker subs as well as new speakers. I also drilled holes in my air box and pulled out my "spoiler" to get more air flow for better performance. I have new, very agressive Kumo tires on my stock rims, which made a big diffrence. I also recently bought a performance chip off of ebay which is actually just a little resistor that goes in the airmass flow sensor. The directions where brief and i'm not sure if the 2 wires are suppose to go in the ourside holes of the plug or not. I was wondering what i should do to make my 4Runner better at wheeling and get more performance for as little money as possible. I have considered the following:-KN&N intake, Weapon R intake, new performance EUC, exhaust, possibly headers and a locking rear diff. (Anyone know how much$??) and i have also considered a lift. When i got my new tires they said my shocks where pretty bad as well, any suggestions. I know that's alot of q's but if u guys have ne advise, suggestions, or links, please let me know.

Welcome Rich, so many questions. If you really want performance inprovements, new headers and exhaust would be your best bet. Stay away from K&N and other intakes. Performance chips don't help much either, not much bang for buck. As far as wheeling a mild lift and locker would help but are mucho bucks, especially locker. Definitely replace your shocks. If low on money get Skyjackers $160 for 4, lots of money get Bilstiens $250 for 4 and replace that stock steering stabilizer. Hope all of this helps.

If I wanted to get a lift, what kind and how much would a 2-3inch lift cost, and would I be able to use the same size shocks or should I replace them with bigger ones since I need new ones anyway?
Thanks ~Rich

get some good shocks like bilsteins or OMEs and put a pair of downey 1.5 or landcruiser coils in the rear and get some manual hubs for the front if you have ADD and crank the torsion bars to level things out or get some bj spacers. If you want alittle more lift add a spacer to the rear with the 1.5 coils. If you go with Downey coils, make sure you get the heavy duty ones, the ride is alittle firmer but its definitely the way to go. then put a set of 32s or 33s under there. do a search on this forum to find more, there is EVERYTHING you asked on here, just gotta look. good luck...
