if you are going to pour money into the IFS there really arent many good options. at the lower end of the $ spectrum, superlift or black diamond are the choice options. if $ is no object, Total Chaos or ATS Racing have by far the best kits for toyota IFS.

As for the total chaos, now thats one wicked set up. You also get what you paid for. The price is not for me. Maybe in the future but thats maybe.

here is a link to the pics. I should also say that the spacer did get a little off center from the spring. nothing like it is going to fall out or anything. just a little out of the groove.

thanks goatboy i really like the looks of your runner i think i am going to go with this kit. From the looks of it the back looks pretty even with the front. Was this kit very hard to install?

the kit was really easy to install. i did it in 4 or 5 hours with basic hand tools. there are a coup;e write ups around here. you may also think about taping the spacers to the coil so that they dont come apart like mine did.

remember the rear is VERY simple.
unlike ifs where it's very simple but crappy ride or very expensive.
before their wacky front end kit, they also had the upper racho arms only combine with their t-bars to achieve the lift.
but that lift was goofy in the sense that when the tires drooped, the tires tend to bow in. that's because both lower and upper arms dont maintain a parallel configuation during wheel travel.
my version of the WCOR kit has that issue too...

dang the rig looks really good. IN the second pic it looks like your front is way higher than the rear, and i know you have new coils so did you crank the Tbars to much or what.

The rear, I'm going to use fj80 2.5" lift springs with Allpro Links.

does the downey 3 inch kit come with the coils. Because i read somewhere that it only comes with coil spacers and panhard drop bracket. Im a little confused right now, so if someone could clear this all up it would be a big help.

Good thread- - - Does anyone know if its possible to use a coil adjuster setup in the rear (2nd gen). Not a coilover shock, but a threaded spacer with adjusting rings. Seems like it would be a perfect solution. Greg
