daystar vs other front spacer lifts
#22
My 2002 4Runner sports a Daystar spacer kit and Rancho RSX shocks all around. The Rancho's may not be Bills, but they're far superior to stock Tokico's! Ride is much improved over stock, but there are handling differences with the increased ride height. My setup was done for under $500 with everything. I'd do the exact same setup to any vehicle. The Daystar setup works very well!

Daystar is good stuff man, I got their 2.5" lift on my taco with bilsteins all around and a REAL soft leaf pack in the rear and I can get about five feet of air and land smooth and not bottom out, the rides great, handling is tight, and its good quality.

i went to put on the 3" Revtek lift for my 2WD 2001 4Runner, and the guys that put it on said my front shocks weren't long enough? Revtek said the lift doesn't require new shocks....is this faulty by the guys who put it on cuz i can't find shocks ANYWHERE to fit. i need help

I'm about to put 265/75/16 on my stock 2001 4x4 tacoma and i know they are going to rub a little in the front and i was thinking about getting a 1.25" daystar lift in the front. Do yall think it will prevent it from rubbing. Also, I found a website (http://www.wheelersoffroad.com/9504tacodstrlift.htm) it says that the top spacer alone will not affect the ride, but the bottom spacer does.

I am running 265s
On my 04 and there is no rub. I am lucky to have the V6 TRD coils in the front for about an inch of lift but if you use the stock rim you will be fine. Astheticaly, the leveling out looks great!

thanks and i agree. i'm thinking about doing like a 1.5" leveling kit so it willl look a little better and level up. but i'm also thinking about getting some black cragar rims when i get the tires so idk but i'll see.

Rims
Check wheelers offroad for the black steelies and make sure you get the 16 inch ones because the "guaranteed" fit on 16s from his 15s isn't really true. My bro couldn't get the 15s to fit his '00 TRD that came with 15s!

i have a daystar 2.5 coil spacer lift on my 00 runner, the ride is nice, too nice for me, i like it to be more stiff, but i've had them for over a year, and they are still handling very well.
