Question Common 4Runner lift?

Please forgive the neophytic question (I've been a Land Cruiser guy for too long) but what is the best/common lift package that one would best purchase for a 3rd gen 4Runner? I've used the search functions, but it didn't return what I was looking for.

3rd gen is 1996-2003???

I am debating the purchase of a 1999 4Runner but want to also consider the `other' items that I will need such as a lift. I've never owned an IFS rig before, and know very little about the front end on them. What exactly does lifing the front end entail?

The rear on these is coil spring, no? I've heard rumors that I can take my stock 80 series springs to provide a nominal lift in the rear? Is this only for the 2nd gen trucks?

Thanks for answering the basics for me.

You might want to browse through here, good place to start:

OME makes very popular lift kits for the 3rd Gen, I am sure you have heard of them in your 80 series circles, no?
