The kit is supposed to be 14's.

The black truck has 16's or 17's IIRC.

I have been wheeling with coilovered trucks lately and it is freaky when they unload. Leaves are stable and predictable. You almost need a swaybar to make these tolerable.

 

Called again last week, now it is expected the later part of this fall.

It's leafs for me.

 

I have a 1986 Toyota Pickup extended cab with long bed and right now it's haves torsion bars and trying to get rid of that and go with coilovers with a solids axel since right now it's front suspension. So like i was saying want to do a solid axel with coilovers do you'll know of anyone that builds a kit for what I'm wanting to do and going to put a six inch lift on it or a 4m

 

The thread you're posting to is 18 years old. That said, the only "kit" I know of that actually works well is from 4WheelUnderground. It's BIG BUCKS and a LOT of work to install but, it's the best on the market. There are also generic kits out there from Ruff Stuff and Trail Gear and maybe Barnes but you have to figure out your own geometry and it's more complicated than people think to get a PROPERLY setup link suspension.

With the generic kits you are on your own to figure it out and get it tuned.

With the 4WU kits you get a kit made specifically for the Toyota mini truck (and others) and there is help and support readily available. I know because I have the front 3 link and rear 4 link kits. I have the front 3 link on my '81 and it's so much better that it feels like a completely different truck, and I'm still running Chev 63's on the back. I imagine that Aztoyman's rig will be even better.
I'm fairly cheap, and this kit definitely isn't. Gave me anxiety buying it. That being said, it was the absolute best thing I've ever done to the truck. Way better on the road/highway and absolutely kills it offroad.

If I ever build a newer Toyota (like a first gen taco), I wouldn't even look at a leaf sprung SAS, 4WU would get my money again for sure.
And the owner, Brian (IIRC), was extremely nice and helpful. Absolutely no complaints about the company or products.
