So, what are you going to be doing with rusty water?

Petrol to go, Joe! Canuck troops pre-tested this plastic container on convoys, Get yours to tote / store 5 gallons of fuel (20 liters). U.S., laws require you to paint the can Red.

* Screw-off cap with rubber O-ring seal
* Easy carry / tie-down top handles
* 14 x 5 1/2 x 18"h. Condition: used, in very good shape

Don't know if the "US laws require you to paint it red" statement is true. Anybody know?

Probably more important, does anybody care; what do we have red painted can police I didn't know about?

BTW, Major's has pretty much the same can for $10:

I got 3 of those cans given to me with 2 different types of spouts. 1 aftermarket and other is an original (much faster at pouring out). Took 2 with me on my Arizona trip. One didn't seal right when the cap was in full lock, think it needs a bit of adjusting with a hammer to lock down tight again. Other than that, they saved me from walking a couple times

I don't like the CTD spouts. They take TOO long to pour out the gas. I can't find the link now (on someone else's computer) but Skyrat (George) has often posted of another place to buy a better spout for a pretty good price that just gushes the gas out at least 3 times faster because of an airhole.

Very cool

Make sure you get the Wedco spout.
There is a vent in the spout (unlike the one from Cheaper Than Dirt) that replaces the emptied fuel with air so the whole thing can keep from chugging as it empties. Takes about a minute for a 20 liter can instead of about 4-5 minutes.

CLICK HERE to see where I bought mine. I purchased two in order to reduce the percentage of shipping costs on the buy.

I just got mine, they look pretty good on the outside, but could definitely use some paint. I opened them up and they definitely smell like gas. It looks like there is some rust inside....any tips on removing that?

Actually, I went back & checked my receipt. $52.50 for 2 cans & 2 spouts including shipping.

Boogeyman- these are not legal in CA...(due to another wonderful CA law)

A lot of companies will not ship these cans to a CA address, while not advocating breaking a CA law. you could call them...

actually, what i did was bought myself one of those CA legal plastic cans with a carb spout and ordered the metal spout from a place out of state. I just trimmed the spout to fit the can and outfitted it with the appropriate neoprene washers. works like a charm and it's completely leak-proof.

Why can't it be shipped to those addresses listed?
