Can I do this?

I want to buy some 35" mud tires for my second gen 4 runner. I am going to buy a 3" Body Lift and I wanted to know if these tires would fit or if I would have to get a suspension lift to get them under? I don't want to fork out the big dollars for the suspension lift kit so if anyone has this set up and would like to comment please do. I will be using the truck like 75% on road and it has the gears for the 225/70/r15, 4.11 I think?? I am running 31" BFG right now and I was told I would be able to go 32" with minor rubbing so I assumed a 35" tire with a 3" lift would cover it? Also would I need to pick up some different rims to run 35" tires? I am buying these off a guy I know but he can't remeber the rim size he was using? I don't feel like seeing my local tire "expert" so if you can help thanks. I want to order the kit and buy the tires asap so your comments are needed fast.

3" probably wont be enough for a 35, probably looking at a 5-6" total lift for that size of a tire, also... you will need to regear... 35's on 4.10s will be murder on your clutch or tranny (depending if you have an auto or not)...and your CV axles will hate you if you go that big, being that your mostly on-road might not be that big of a deal. also, i think you need an 10" wide rim to go that big?

A 3" BL without suspension lift will not be enough. You will need to regear as well. Here is what I am running and have had alot of Yota Tech members buying it as well.

My Avatar is Option 2 kit:

Hope this helps.............

You could always go with 33's but may have to trim the inner wheel wells. Roger Brown makes great BL's. He is at www.4crawler.com

1" Body lift and 33's fit with a bit of rubbing.

3" Body lift and 33's Fit pretty Good, Team this up with the SDORI Ball Joint spacers, and rear coils spacers and you have a Great setup

Stay away from the IFS Lift Kits they are CRAP, Just a bunch of Drop brackets that dont give you any extra flex, For the money of an ifs lift your better off going with a SAS (soild axel swap)
