bumper/winch fitment help?

OK so Im having this dilemma and im getting uber aggitated

last night me and a friend go to install my winch in my bumper.. its too big im like WTF.. i look at the box and its the wrong winch... OK...

i get to work and tell them to fix my problem... they say no problem...
just out of my curiousity sake i look at the dimensions of that winch compared to the one im supposed to have. they are the same.. now im really like WTF...

then i look at the dimensions of the warn winch that AllPro SAYS fits the bumper...
here are the dimensions:
WARN 9.5XP
Winch Dimensions: 22.7" L. x 6.3" D. x 7.7" H.
(577mm L. x 160mm D. x 196 mm H)
Mounting Bolt Pattern: 10.0" x 4.5" (254mm x 114.3mm)
MILE MARKER SE9500C (the one im supposed to have)
Dimension (LxWxH): 22 in x 6.5 in x 7.3 in
(559 mm x 165 mm x 173.5 mm)
Mounting bolt pattern: 10.0" x 4.5" (254 mm x 114.3 mm)

OK so my question being... where the winch doesnt fit is at the top of the winch where it comes up to the bumper.. im guessing that is becuase the .2" size difference in the warn's depth? which seems hard to believe to me... that the warn would fit in THAT tightly, because the one i have hung out like almost half an inch...

any ideas??

Some pics would help, but yeah, the warns and mile markers and everything else are going to be different sizes. I'd have to see what your winches look like, and what type of bumper you are putting on.

the bumper is on already

heres a detail pic of it...
you can see where the winch mounts.. and next to it where the solenoid box goes
the winch is getting hung up on the angled top part of the bumper with the chrome winch support at the top...

i dont have any pics of the winch in the bumper tho currently...

First, very cool bumper.

It seems your option now is to wait for the other winch and see how that fits.

Your pic of the winch is not showing up. If you can get that up, it'd help, becasue from the looks of that area, a warn with a remote mounted solenoid should fit. Gotta see a pic though. Thanks

AllPro says the warn fits...
this one dimension wise is the same one as the one i SHOULD have gotten....
and i just called them and they said the housing and everything are the same, just the motors are different inside... so that doesnt solve anything...

they have an 8k lb one that is a little smaller that would *probably* work.. but i dunno.

and i want to stick with mile marker if at all possible b/c i get it at work for way cheaper than i could ever get a warn for at retail...

ok so i called allpro.....
in order to make a mile marker fit you have to slot & move the mount about 1/2" back...

which in turn would put it into the a/c line and front support from what i see....
