BIG Torsion Bar Question?

I just got these torsion bars for free from a buddy of mine. I want to put them on my truck, but I have no idea what company made these and I would like to know that to know if they are any good. He doesn't know what company made them because he got the frame and cab for free from someone who only wanted the lower long travel arms off of it.

Can anybody tell me who makes these? The markings say 8308-Japan-LH-06.

take a micrometer and measure them, that might help ID them.

I don't have a micrometer, but they came off of a late 80's truck with the square body style. If that helps any?

Definitely get a micrometer. If you check the Harbor Freight ads you can get one for $9.99 that is electronic. If it has no markings of any kind besides those ones you listed it is probably going to be very hard to track it down to a specific manufacturer.

So I tried just doing a serach on the info you gave us and I think i found the problem, what you have, according to the number, is not a torsion bar at all, really it's either a Mini Cooper or a Mazda Tribute ignition coil lol
