Any last words of advice?

hey, I am going to order all my suspension products pretty soon. I figured I'd do it this summer while Im home because my friend has air tools, and it wont get in the way of school if I were to do it in the fall. Here is a list of the things I am going to order:

Front Frankenstien front end. Anything missing Steve?
1/4 topout extenders (Revtek)
1.5" Cornfed Spacers
Stock Front 1999 Coils
OME Prado firm shocks
Blue Bilstein Shock Boots

Rear:
OME 891 Heavy Duty Springs
OME Prado firm shocks
Do I need trim packers?

Extras:
Front Swaybar Discos
18" Mastercraft Rear Limit Straps
Diff Drop Spacers Cornfed
PanHard Drop Bracket
E Brake Bracket
1" or 1.5" Roger Brown Body Lift?

I am going to get my tires and rims when I get to Colorado. I will also get some sliders installed up there. How does all this sound? Thanks a lot!

I am testing out 19" limiting straps. I have not had a chance to wheel with them yet.

I think I will wait on the limiting straps until I get back to Denver because they need to be welded on, and I will have the place that welds my sliders on, do the welding for me. Please keep me posted on the 19" straps though.

Yea, I will get new tires in Denver so I dont wear them out driving 1400 miles there. I am thinking of 285 mt/r on black rock crawlers.

Just the rear. You don't "need" it but it would be wise to get one that is 3"-4" longer.

Damnit! I just realized All-Pro Off-Road was in CA. For some reason I thought it was in CO!! I like there sliders and there price, but with shipping, its not worth it. I am looking at spending around 350 on sliders welded or bolted. I also like Darrens, but they are way to expensive. Any ideas?

Isn't the OME 891 Rear Spring a bit stiff for max flexibility? I have the 890 and it's still pretty good. Handles a full load well and sits a bit higher than the front w/OME 881's when empty. A full load levels it out and makes for a silky smooth ride.

I would go to Off-Road Solutions. Mike is a great guy and they do nice work. If you go in the next little bit, take a look at my rig and tell him Adrian sent you.

As for the rest of the lift stuff, it makes sense to me, but mostly I listen to Schaefer on that sort of thing.

Stubbs makes a great slider as well. We have a set on our FJ-62.

http://www.stubbswelding.com/

https://www.yotatech.com/forums/showthread.php?t=32675

$210 for a set plus shipping is pretty much the lowest thing you'll find.

All-Pro does make nice sliders as well, after going to the Hammers I "get" that kick out thing. It's a Hammers thing.

I always wondered about that kick out thing...do tell. I guess the obvious reason is that it pushes you away from the rocks, what else?

That's it, the Hammers is full of beach sand and you side around alot from side to side and the area between the end of the sliders and the rear tire is a hot spot on those trails.

Also, how urgent is it that I get my RORE e-locker skidplate on? Once I get back to Denver I will be in the rocks at least once a week. But.... buying all this stuff is a pretty big investment for me and I am trying to save as much money as possible right now.

I have Roger Brown rock sliders and like them a lot and great prices as well.

Also a lot of people speak highly of Jason Demello's work.

Again, both in CA though.

Ok, I got my price quote from Mike @ Xtreme Off-road. The only problem was that he couldn't get Mastercraft limit straps for the rear. He did, however, find Sway a way straps that are 18" also. Do ya'll think those are ok, or should I hold out for Mastercrafts?

Currently I have 19" straps made by Superlift. I got them from 4 wheel parts . com, they were 30 bucks for 2 shipped to me, they are ok.

If you want Mastercarft straps you have to order those directly from Mastercraft.

Mike does not sell most of the stuff you need? Cornbred, Revtek, Stock 99 coils? Did you get that already?
