93 Toyota off-road build?
I own a 93 Toyota 4X4 Pickup kingcab 5 speed with 22RE engine. At this time it is completely stock. My plan is to do a somewhat mild build to make it more suitable for serious off-road use. I am pretty ignorant on this stuff and there is so much info out there, I wouldn’t know where to begin. Where would be to best place to start? New shocks? Lift kit? Guards? Tires? Right now I’m equipped with BFGoodrich All Terrain tires. My budget is around $1,500 to $2,000. What would YOU do to this truck with that budget? I’ll be using it for exploring places like Death Valley National Park (old mining roads, etc) some are pretty gnarly. As it is, it is in very good running condition now. Thanks.

I would drive it and see first hand where I feel it falls short, then upgrade based on needs.
