86 IFS pickup other mods

Hello all, just signed up today. I've been reading for months without posting yet, lots of good info here. Anyways, I have a single cab ifs 86 pickup with a rebuilt 22re that I have recently acquired. Currently it has a 3 inch BL with dry rotted 33 12.50 BFG a/t. I have done some minor mechanical and cosmetic mods thus far, replace both cvs, windshield, brakes all around, new rear diff, front and rear tube bumper with winch and new paint. This is not meant to be a rock crawler but just a truck to keep at the hunting club, not my dd. Plan right now is to remove the BL and tires, go with the famous Bj spacers, new shocks and rear aal, 33x10.50 BFG and 4.88 gears. Are there any suggested mods that I may not have thought of for an easy trail rig that doesn't see much pavement? Thanks for the help, sorry for the long first post, and I swear I won't ask what gears to use or what tires will fit my truck.

I used my '88 as a hunting rig for years before I axle swapped it. Not sure about where you're at or what kind of terrain you're on but here in Washington, it's usually pretty wet during our hunting seasons, especially in the mountains, so I sprung for a rear locker. Made a world of difference on those muddy switchback logging roads. Just my $.02

Winter down here is not traditionally very wet, but as I assume it is most places, log roads will get sloppy no matter how much rain there is. The most of my worries off road are mud(red clay), and slick hills. It will never be a rock crawler. I do drive it on the road during the off season, but it stays parked down at camp 6-8 months out of the year. The body lift currently on it just aggravates me, so I thought going with the bj spacers, aal and new shocks all the way around would be the most cost effective way to make my ride smoother and off road capable.
