3vz 3.0 vs 3vzfe

I need some help I bought a 19 93 toyota 4wd pickup with a 3vz 3.o 6cyl. It had a blown head gasket. I tore it down had the reworked, and then all hell broke loose. I couldn't get back to work on my truck for about eiget months and by then the motor was froze. I bought what I understood to be a later model but comparable a 3vzfe but when I got the motor from JDM.MOTORS it turned out that it had duAL overhead cams 24 valves needless to say nothing matches and come to find out the motor they sent me is for a 93 camera or lexus. Is there some type of kit I can get to make this motor fit in a 93 pickup. They want replace it so I need some help. Thanks

The heads are not interchangable. The motor it self may work, but you may have to make a new intake as the 3zvfe is mounts transversely. Not a common swap at all, I would be interested in seeing it done, apparently because of the DOC has to potential to make some good HP.

Pic I found on the internet, not sure why the alt is circled.

That looks like the 3.0 I have in my 99 Solara:

This is not my car, but looks exactly like this

still a 3.0, but I NOTHING like the 3.0 in my 89 4Runner. Plus, isn't that a front wheel drive motor? probably going to be a HUGE undertaking to make it work. I had once thought it would be cool to take the the motor from the Solara and put it in the 4Runner, but its way too much for me to take on.

Good luck! Tell us how it turns out
