I took it back to get reworked so the Body Lift is off now. Tacoclimber will have it on his door in a couple of days, actually.

Unfortunately, Marc, it looks like Death Valley will be the last one of the year for me until fall. I gotta kick some ass overseas with the Navy first.

But what am I talking about....the guys on the ground are the real doorkickers over there. Hell, I type and patch my way through a deployment!

Oh yeah, I'm planning on taking pictures of the whole install...and then some more of the truck, and then some more of the truck on a trail, and then some more...and then maybe a few more...

Got my lights wired up and my fenders back from Seth after he painted them. Pretty much matches the OEM paint...it was called Linen White at Kragens FYI.

 

Damn! You got those on already? In the time it takes me to go see a movie, you drive all the way home AND get them installed? You're a monster, man.

Where's the swirls on the fenders?? With Seth painting them I thought he would go with red swirls

I've taken those fenders on and off so much it's a piece of cake.

He was going to do some pink swirls not red, Marc, but after we discussed the idea at length we couldn't reach decision so we compromised and went with nothing.

The lights ARE pretty big for the bumper. I have to play with the covers to get them off but it doesn't take me long to get them off.

 

They're pretty powerful (I can see when they're on through the covers at night) and they put out a ton of heat. I got the lights roughly pointed, but I need to actually get on the dirt to set them right.

 

I don't think Ryan wants that on his fenders......

 

Ryan, your truck is lookin sick. I guess you got a new super fancy long travel CV that they don't carry at autozone. Are those HID lights? A word of advace is cover up the exposed tabs on your relays with some electrical tape. You have + and - wires sitting awfully close to one another without any insulation.

I guess I should do that when I get it back from the shop. They're Hella 4k lights but they're not HID. They do offer an upgrade kit for them, but I'll keep them non-HID for now. As far as the CVs I bit the bullet and just ordered a new one. My other CV needs to be looked at to see if it's salvageable or not. Probably just end up storing it.

 

I rode in Cabbage's truck last year at Pismo.. he took me on a heck of a ride!! 70 mph across the dunes is a trip!

Truck looks good! Do you have stock replacement deavers or 62's?

 

Replacement deavers for now. The 8-leaf pack with OME n85 shocks. It pulls about 11" but if I were to shave the rear bumps it would match the front.

 

Any plans for 62's in the future?

 

Yep. I think that will be as far as I will take my truck but too much money is flowing right now to even consider it. That and I don't have the time to get something as complex as that done

 

As it looks right now, it looks like my shocks initially have 12/8 valving (what I was shooting for) so a flutter stack is going to be put in the compression side and hopefully that will get me closer to what I'm looking for. Kinda sux that I don't have the time to dial it in but any improvement would be best.
