140 Lance or 170 Striker

Hi All, Brand new here. I'm looking into buying some Lightforce lights for my Suburban. My main need is for lights that will light up the old country highway and the dirt road that I drive everyday out here in "The Sticks", Wyoming. Main concerns are for deer, antelope etc. I drive 25 miles each way. According to the WY State Police I can use Off-road lights here as long as I dim them to oncoming cars just like regular brights. My question... will the Lightforce 140s be good enough or should I step up to the 170s? Appreciate any thoughts.

240's! LOL

No, seriously, you can't go wrong with any of the Lightforce lights. I have the 240's and love them. The beam pattern is so well controlled that I can use them on divided highways (where there's a median in the middle) and not get flashed by the oncoming traffic.

You may want to look into the combo or fog pattern lenses, though. They are adjustable (like a Maglight), but with the spot lenses that come with the lights, they can't be adjusted very wide.
