AT temp light?

Why does my AT temp light go on when I'm climbing long up hill grades in overdrive at about 3k rpm (usually around 60-70 mph)? When I click O/D off, the light goes out right away. I would think the tranny would shift itself if that wasn't a good gear for the demand. Any thoughts appreciated

Sound like you're climbing with the tqcv unlocked. When the tqcv unlocks it causes heat. By switching od off you lock the tqcv in 3rd. If you can't hold steady with the tqcv locked in 4th then I suggest turning off od and ascend hills in 3rd. Do a tranny flush, new fluid stays cool longer.

Fresh tranny oil flush and change

this was immediately following service, however it's occurance is always rare. Usually on the same stretches of hwy. I need a solenoid change, maybe thats part of it.
thanks for responding
