Oil filter location? - 4 liter v6

I just purchased a 2005 Tundra with the 4.0 Ltr V6. It has an oil filter mounted on the right front side of the engine that looks like it is plumbed into the engine coolant system. The hose hardware does not look bullet proof enough for an engine oil circut (spring clamps on heater hose).

No other filter visable in the expected locations. Where is the oil filter?

Thanks in advance.

Bill

This might not help much, but I know on V8 Tundras the oil filter is connected to an oil cooler, that may be what you are looking at. Also, Toyota oil filters are typically black.

Since this is just a guess, I would check to see if it says anything in the owner's manual.

Thanks, the answer is it is a water cooled oil filter mount. The water inlets are on the side of the assembly. Hidden underneath are the oil hoses plumbed into the front of the enging block. I can't see them but I can feel them. The filter is certainly handy but it will be fun to see how much oil drains out of the filter.
