Non TRD tundra, what's missing?
I drove a TRD 2004 tundra and a Limited 2003 tundra and am torn. I noticed the suspension felt tighter (more like my T100 but nicer) on the TRD. I didn't see any locker switches on the TRD. Was the locker an option for the TRD? Can I throw some shocks/ coilovers on the Limited to get it to handle like the TRD? What would that cost? Is the lift the same? If I'm not a hardcore 4x4'er does it matter? This vehicle will mostly be a daily driver so mileage is key.
Thoughts?
Thanks.

The tundra did NOT ever have a "Lockable" rear end option.
However, the TRD package trucks came with a limited slip differential, in a 3.91 ratio. That was a stock option.

"Stock" or "option" with in the TRD package. In other words, do all TRD's have a limited slip dif?
Thanks

Not sure if All TRD's came with it or not. I know on the Tacomas, the TRD package included a locking rear diff. So, i would say with the TRD package, the limited slip rear diff was stock. Easiest way is to check the rear axle housing. It will say LSD or LSD Oil Only on the back of the housing.
You will also want to verify with Toyota that the truck indeed has a TRD package, and not just a TRD sticker set.
