hi im new 94t100
hey guys... just thought id say hi.
i just bought a 94' T100 from my gramps for $1000. its got 104k on her.
automatic. its only 2wd
but way better than wha ti was driving before and for that kind of money i coudlnt pass it up.
soryr i dont have pics yet.. ill prolly buy a digital cam soon (next paycheck).
i live in moxee, washington.. right in the center of the state.
i instal stereos for a living and have been peicing together mine in the last two weeks ive had it.
so far ive got a pioneer shallow mount sub on order (two weeks and hasnt showed up..), visor mounted LCD screens in the mail (drivers and passengers side), a middle grade sony deck (CDx-7700) with the sattelite radio hook ups. i am going to buy a deck that plays DVDs too soon to replace it and switch over to sirius sattelite radio.
ive completely dynamatted the cab, and installed a higher end viper alarm with keyless entry, remote start, and a LCD two way paging remote.
have P3002 amp that i need to hook up today to power my rockford 5.25" power series speakers that will be going in the door today.
and thats pretty much it... for now. would like to give her more power.. but my buddy josh (has the same engine in his 88toy) says the 3.0litre V6s dont have much potential for buildup...
honestly im really dissapointed in this engine. i get only 16mpg and have only 150hp... what a ripoff... my camaro has 360hp and gets slightly less mpg... oh well.
aside from being dissapointed in the power... its a fun truck and even though its 2wd.. i still go a lot of places my camaro could never take me
will be fun for camping too.. its got a canopy on the back and i will be adding a space heater and a matres in teh future.
so enough showing off.. just wanted to say hi and let everyone know where im coming from and what ive got

Welcome to the few and the proud, the T100 owners circle.
Sounds like a good price you paid. The 3.0 is a bit of a dog, especially in a T100, which is heavier than the 4Runner and trucks that have it too. There aren't a lot of things you can do to it that will add any noticeable horsepower. Just remind yourself it's all about reliability and longevity, not power and gas mileage.
You might consider putting on some good All Terrain or Mud Terrain tires when it's time for new rubber. Good tires will take a Toyota in 2WD further into the woods and hills than most people would think. Down the road, if you really get into going into the backcountry with it, you might want to throw in a cheap Aussie Locker in the rear.
Hope you enjoy the truck -

:)
thanks for the welcome guys..
i was a little TO'ed when i wrote that... the power is enough to get up to 60mph so its alright..
i never am gonna tow anything so power dont matter too much.
i put an amp in it for my front speakers today and man i am impressed with toyotas factory speakers.. i migh thave to return the rockfords i just bought, lol.
a prerunner style bumper would be cool! i definately wish she were 4wd.. but oh well, not like i always go offroad.. just would be fun to brag i guess. it runs awsome though and so ill just keep her and do wha ti can to make it more offroad capable.. right now i need more clearance cause i hit my frame on a rock/cement thing the other day going the short way around my work.. lol
hey does downey offroad have a website? id like to se epics of this prerunner bumper..
thanks again for the welcome guys.
