I'm replacing the coolant in my landcruiser, which according to the owners manual takes 16.2 quarts, with rear heater. With the front and rear heaters on, I drained the radiator and engine block on driver's side but only got 12 quarts drained. I'm adding distilled water to flush it and was only able to refill with 12 quarts.

It took me a week to locate the engine block drain on the driver's side. Now I'm seeing reference that there is a 3rd drain, which is supposedly on the passenger's side of the engine block.

If there is a third drain and if so can someone help me locate it?

I found the third drain on my 2UZ-FE motor. In addition to the radiator, there's a drain on each side toward the rear of the engine block. The passenger side is the most difficult to find because it's mostly hidden behind lines and such.
