when did toyota start selling these units in canada? i cant seem to get an answer around here. also, thinking of buying one. any beefs or good news welcome or western canada leads on ones for sale. thank you

 

Hey Chucker, I have no clue about when they were offered in Canada, but here in the US it was 1996 for the LX's intro.

Start with an advanced search within the 80 series forums, you should find something out there.

thanks doug. more research on my end has found that the lx470 is the first model available in canada. 1998/99.all lc`s & lx`s are all imported from the u.s. which makes them pretty rare. they`re here but hard to find a good one for sale( low milage that is)

 

Have you checked out these guys, I think they are very near you. They import from Japan. Mostly older, sy mid 80's to 90's stuff.

The 80s were sold in Canada by Lexus. The Land Cruisers were not sold in Canada. All Candian (originally sold in Canada) LX 450s come with OEM Diff Locks.

IIRC, 1996 was the first year in Canada as well as here in the U.S.
