I have a 1994 Toyota Land Cruiser and i just rebuilt the engine, I drove the car and i checked the oil and it was really low barely any on the dip stick. i drove the car probably like 100 miles. is it normal for the car to burn oil? Also the speed meter is jumping around and now it just stopped working, also i have a O/D flashing...... Help Please!!!

We need more information before we can help you. A couple questions to start:
- Was the engine rebuilt by you or a shop?
- Did you pull any codes from the ECM?
- How long ago was the engine rebuild & when did it start burning oil?

Hello,
the engine was done by a shop,
it did not give any codes what so ever,
it was done about a month ago,
as soon as i picked it up the idle was really high.
the service at this shop was awful, it was really bad, so bad that i decided not to go back. they told me i had to take the car to a shop that had an OBDI scanner to reset the computer and they said that was the reason for the high idle, i took the car home and as i arrived a water hose bursted. the following day i took it to a mechanic by my house and they told me the radiator was clogged with rust, so they had it cleaned and ready to do, the speed control valve was stuck as well, so they cleaned it up and got it working again. this mechanic told me that the shop inverted some of the hoses when they put it back together(which he fixed) so the car was smooth now. i took it for a drive on a Sunday and drove it the whole day, that when i noticed that the speedometer was jumping and then it stopped working. the O/D light started flashing as well, when i got home that day i checked the oil level and it was really low, and before i left it was on regular level. its really becoming a nightmare, the car seems smooth, its just the oil level and there is a little cough when in drive that its not that bad.

I would address this at the shop who rebuilt your motor. If they offered any type of warranty, I would take it back as a rebuilt engine done properly should not be burning oil.
