What To Buy...
#1
Hello there! This is my first post!
I have the pleasure of owning a 2017 Tacoma TRD Sport 2WD, Crew Cab Short Bed.
I've had her fpr about a month, and I've ran into a problem... my mom and girlfriend can't easily get into the truck! Does anyone have some good, strong, reliable, and somewhat cost efficient side steps/sliders/ steps that they know of? I don't want to buy just any old ones. I'd like them to look nice, not get ripped off if I do ANY offroading (which I will, 2WD or go home baby) and are made of good material that won't break the bank. Any help is appreciated!!

FWIW, we have owned 2 vehicles with side steps, and taking these off-road resulted in dragging the side steps over rocks, etc. Obviously, the steps were just too low, and this was on some "easy" trails around Moab. I'm not sure what to tell you, except you may have to make a choice between off-roading or making the females in your life happy. I wish you the best of luck.
Something for you to consider: lots of sliders are used as side steps, but they are a bit taller than low-hanging side steps. Another thing we hated about side-steps is that when they get dirty/muddy/etc., the backs of our pants legs frequently got dirty too.
