Basic steel wheels to go with winter tires

I went from a 1995 Tacoma 2.4L 2WD to a 2022 TRD Sport. I'm overwhelmed to say the least but loving it.

I have always had Blizzak winter tires mounted on basic steel wheels for winter time in the PNW. However, Discount Tire said that you can't get basic steel wheels for a 2022 Tacoma. This seems absurd.

Does anyone have input on the availability of basic steel wheels for a new Tacoma? Is it true that they are hard to come by?

Specs for wheels are:
17" x 7.5"
+30 mm offset
6 x 139.7 mm lug
106.1 mm bore

What other wheel specs do I need to be aware of when buying wheels?
What specs can vary? Or do they all need to match perfectly?

Thanks for your insight.

What about getting a set of four of the steel wheels used for the spare tire?
Does anyone have experience doing this?

YEAR of VEHICLE. My '91 I tried 30mm offset,(supposedly a generic Toyota chevy rim),,no go,,I would have had to use a 1/4" spacer. Rims were both just touching the inside of rims. I opted to use my stock rims. Know your offset when buying rims...I thought close would be good enough.

Thanks jazz1.

I was told by the local tire store to go narrower on winter tires. Is this true? Important?

If so, and I am going with a 16" x 7" steelie (2022 Tacoma spare) then would a 245/75-16 be the way to go? This give me very close to same circumference but a little narrower tire overall.

Circum. inches (mm) 96.02 (2438.82) / 95.72 (2431.28)
Width inches (mm) 10.43 (265) / 9.65 (245)

For snow yes, narrow is better. set I just installed 235/75/15. I would have gone with a 215/75/15 had I found a good deal on them. Its not like my truck is carrying maximum load,,,

You can get steel wheels for a 2022 Tacoma, but they’re harder to find for trims like the TRD Sport, which come standard with larger alloy wheels. OEM 16″ steel wheels exist and can be purchased through Toyota dealers or parts suppliers, and there are also compatible aftermarket steel wheels available. Discount Tire likely doesn’t stock them because they’re not the standard for your trim, but they do exist if you search through dealers, online retailers, or the used market.
