At Just Differentials we carry gear and axle accessories for nearly every vehicle out there. We work on developing and stocking the hard to find parts, or gear sets, so you can make one call to find everything you need to repair or replace parts in your axles.

Our Gear Packages include everything you need to regear both your front and rear axles with high quality parts. They include Front and Rear:

-Ring & Pinions
-Master Install kits with bearings, shims, seals, etc (MK)
-Solid preload Spacers if available (noted as SK in description)
-Pinion flanges (if noted with YOK)

It is a common misconception that lower gears are only for hardcore off-roading, in actuality the average daily driven vehicle can see huge improvements in both performance and economy by properly matching their vehicle’s gear ratio to their tire size all while reducing strain on the vehicles drivetrain.

We at Nitro Gear & Axle realize how confusing and difficult it can be for the average consumer or gear installation shop to compile the list of gear parts and prices required when doing a complete front and rear gear change. To make it easier for everyone the experts at Nitro Gear & Axle are introducing an industry first - "Gear Packages"

These gear packages are specifically designed for many popular 4x4 applications such as the Dodge Ram, Chevy/GMC 2500/3500HD, Toyota Land Cruiser/FJ Cruiser/4-Runner/Tacoma/Tundra, Jeep Cherokee/Wrangler/Rubicon and Ford F250/F350 Super Duty.

These gears are manufactured from 8620 steel forgings and are precision machined using a computer controlled process. Heat treatment, CNC triple-lapping and Rockwell testing for hardness ensures excellent fitment, ideal contact pattern and smooth, quiet operation.

Overlanding.

I don't need to regear, my tires are only a little bigger than stock.

It's a common statement and one we enjoy addressing when the opportunity presents itself. Overland preparation tends to add weight to the base vehicle. Bumpers, winches, skidplates and tire carriers can add a tremendous amount of weight from stock. Add a rooftop tent or rack assembly up high and aerodynamic drag is greatly increased as well further reducing performance both on and off-road.

Beyond increased weight, vehicle manufacturers almost always opt for a borderline gear ratio from the factory to optimize unloaded fuel economy. This means that even running near stock size tires, a heavily loaded, taller than stock and factory undergeared Overland 4x4 is a very poor performing machine both in terms of acceleration and fuel economy. This reduces cross country fuel range, on road responsiveness and off-road control all at the same time.

The solution is regearing. Proper gear ratios put the engine at optimum RPM for performance and fuel economy and give you the opportunity to add traction aiding differentials during gear installation greatly enhancing the capability of your backcountry 4x4 in the field, on the highway and around town.

We've been putting this LX470 together in the shop over the last few days. Recently we went through the suspension and axles, and added a Nitro Gear Package. Building a sweet 9 inch assembly in the shop this week. Nitro Nodular housing, Nitro LSD unit, Nitro 1350 forged yoke and a REM treated 3.50 Nitro Gear Set. REM treating produces an incredibly smooth surface finish for reduced noise, cooler running and longer lasting gears. Ideal for keeping gear noise to a minimum and an option on some Nitro gearsets.
