Just ordered a 4.88 3rd for my 87, can't wait to feel the difference from the stock 4.31 gears and 33's.

Awesome!! I know .31 vs .88 isn't a big numeric jump but you'll notice a nice acceleration and power gain for sure and you're be covered if in the future you ever switch to 35s. Let us know if you need any help during installation. We recommend running regular, basic mineral gear oil for the first 500 miles, then flush-it. No need to get anything fancy since the gear oil will get contaminated during gear break-in, so flush and replace that initial oil with nicer synthetic, if desired.
