Flywheels 22R vs Celica 20R flywheel FYI
I've seen people claim 20R flywheels are both lighter and heavier than 22R flywheels but I have never seen a listed weight so I bought one when I found it cheap.
Working side looks close enough, 22R on the left 20R on the right.
Engine side is the real difference, 22R on the left 20R on the right. 22R stock 2wd flywheel is 24.31lbs (11.025kg) vs 20R celica at 21.85lbs (9.910kg).
The difference in first gear acceleration feels almost as much as the difference of having a light passenger vs just driver.
