A/C Fan speed "low-little higher-little lower-full blast"

A/C Fan speed "low-little higher-little lower-full blast"
The A/C fan speeds seem to not go in order. I replaced the speed resistor and the still the same...???? anyone have any ideas what to check? The fan motor was replaced before I purchased it according the p.o.
