there is a loud knock coming from the rear of my engine it only happens under acceleration and when letting off gas. does not knock while idling. just replaced oil pump do to massive oil leak at front of engine. any advice would be greatly appreciated. 93 pickup 22re engine

 

Knocking under accel and decel is most likley a rod knocking. Engine will need to be rebuilt or replaced.
