so had a real good look at my steering wheel , and the plastic is all cracked . The original MOJAVE must have been in an accident or something?

Nice progress, fresh painted parts make everything look so good!

Had a question about the 3.4 swap. How much heavier is it compared to the 22re? I noticed you kept the IFS and wondering if you beefed up the suspension at all?

I have never weighed them , so I don't know for sure .. but from what I have researched , it is only 40 lbs heavier , Basically the same weight as the 3.0L and as we know , the 3.0L has been used in the IFS trucks for many years .
I don't plan on "offroading" this truck , so IFS is all stock , except the lift . I'm planning on making it my "tow rig" for my trekker , so I might supercharge it , that is unless it sells before I get to that point

I see, thought it was much more. The 3.4 seems like the way to go. Deciding betwen a 3rz and a 3.4 but why not swap in something with nearly twice the hp not just another 50

^ exactly !
I love the S/C 3.4L in my Trekker .. it runs so effortless on the hills I actually get better fuel economy with my 35's then I ever would with a 4cyl .
Personally , I will never rebuild a 20/22r series engine ever again for myself ...

so a change in plans .... so bare with me here , this is absolutely going to add some time to this build !
my original plans were to do parallel twin turbos . doing some research and talking to people , well they basically talked me out of doing it and I put the idea on the back burner .. it has never been done before !!

well it's now front and center ... forget the nay sayers , I'm gonna do it anyway !

so I'm starting with a NEW custom plenum .. as I want the throttle body at the front , not the side .

and it all starts with a throttle body mount

matched to the T/B

now time to clean it up

Ehhh, just toss the brake booster. With the power you'll have, you won't need brakes... You'll need a parachute!!! LOL

By the way, I know the pain of stuffing a bigger engine with twin turbos in a vehicle. I had a 2003 Volkswagen GTI that I yanked the 1.8T out of, swapped in a fully built stage III/IV 3.2L VR and slapped on a pair of turbos. I had it putting out 460 HP on the dyno, but before I could get my friend to properly re-map the ECU I decided to fall asleep driving and placed it head on into a telephone pole at around 55mph. I enjoyed the build for all of three weeks before I totalled it... My friend said that with some more tweeking I could have close to 550 HP - That's a helluva lot of power in a little hatchback but I suppose we'll never know what its potential could have been.

Hopefully you'll keep this truck "wrinkle free" way longer than I did with my GTI!
