just put it where the clock is

and they do make single-pod pillars... so you might be able to retain the handle

Not quite sure about the tacoma dash but my 4runner has a pocket under where the ash tray goes. You might get something there.

Yeah I thought about that, but i'm afraid it will look cheap. I think the whole pillar pod is my best bet.

I believe both dashes are identical. Mine also has that, but it's kind of low and not a good spot for mounting gauges, my ipod fits better there anyway.

I'm thinking maybe I just might get a single din radio and mount the gauges above it using a plate from 12voltguy.com

Almost forgot to mention what happened on Saturday...

Went to install the supercharger, removed the intake manifolds and everything that attaches to them (it's A LOT of stuff), took off all the belts, put the supercharger belt on the back pulleys, and got to mounting the supercharger pulley tensioner.

Well, turns out that the bolt I had for the tensioner, the threads at the end were a little stripped so it couldn't be used. No stores in the area had one (its a 10x1.25x135mm). So I had to re-bolt everything back on and do it all over again. the only thing that was different is now I have a new gasket on the lower intake manifold lol.

What a waste of a day.

The hardware store near me has ordered me some new bolts (a bit longer so they hold better, because the front few threads of the hole were rusty and don't hold well). So once they come in and once I get my gauges hooked up, i'm going to install the supercharger!!

Had a battle with the aftermarket installed alarm tonight, couldn't get it to shut off!! It wouldn't let me start the truck at all. I figured out how to shut it off so I just left it off!

Nice find bud. Love the look of a extra cab Taco. Would Like to get one but I think my next Yota will be 1 of 3 options, 79-83 4x4, a 4 runner(1st or 3rd Gen) or a newer crew cab Taco(Family Truck/DD) But that is a few years aways, unless I find a deal. HAHA but Congrats on new TOY!!!!!

How does your tall arse fit in that ext cab? I'm like 6'2" and they are a bit cramped for my tastes?

That thing is not just red, it's red dammit.

Well with the seat slid all the way back, reclined some and the steering wheel tilted all the way up, I can fit fairly comfortably!

And hahaha I can see it now for the color choices

-Forest Green
-Arctic White
-Red Dammit!

No way I could comfortably fit without the tilt wheel.
