NEW SHOES! NEW SHOES!

Sold the boat and found a stellar deal on CL for some wheels and my local Big-O for tires....all said and done, $1024.00 mounted, balanced and installed!

Love the wheels, I've been hunting something different for mine.

Thanks! These were listed at Chevy wheels on CL, but the 6 lug Chevys fit our runners....

Got the 1" body lift installed this morning in about 2 hours by myself at work. (nice when it's slow like this!)

Doesn't look too different, but definitely helps clear the 255's better!

Finally got around to putting a new clutch in! 4 hours in the driveway with a buddy of mine...not too bad imho!
Now I just need to replace the rear axle seals and rear shocks and brakes and CV's and she's ready to have some fun! (but once the axle seals are done...it's ON!)

Looks good!! Yeah chevy and yota share same lug pattern on 6 lug ive heard though that for some reason a center wheel from one corner wont fit on the matching corner but u can swap them around and it wil fit.. ive even seen it before and it makes no sense but yeah lol

Hey Punkel- curious as to which clutch you went with? When I replaced mine I was surprised to see so many different clutch company's out there. Turns out most of em' were just rebranded Chinese mfg. same type clutches. Decided to go OEM thinking if the original clutch lasted 180k miles why wouldn't a "true" Japanese mfg. Aisin last just as long. My replacement did take quite a bit longer though...pulled the flywheel and had it resurfaced over in Mesa at B&B machine and replaced the rear main. Resurfacing was only $35.00 as I've taken other stuff over to Jeff before...he said it normally costs $40.00 but hey, $5.00 is five dollars ya know? Now I need to replace the master and slave to make it complete in my mind but right now the 4Runners kicking a P0133 code and those sensors aren't quite that cheap. So they'll have to either fail or wait till the money comes back around in a few weeks. I like how it's turning out so far...

Took off my rear bumper to put it on the SC'd truck. (some idiot rear ended it while parked) Just got back from the metal shop with some 2x4x54 square tube to start building my new bumper. Thinking similar to the addicted style but with a few tweaks. Pics to follow!

WOOPS! Yeah that was a little bit ago, and yes replaced it just this last weekend...umm not today but last Saturday. Picked it up off RockAuto for $30.00 less than AutoZone wanted. True OEM but now I can't remember the OEM name??? Anyhow, that's a darn good price for a full clutch replacement. Sucks about the numbnuts running into the 4Runner...just means you get to improve on the design so the next one hurts there's more than yours! I like it when that happens..."AHHH man, your bumper totally ruined mine...! Well geeee dumby, maybe you should watch where you're goin!" <---hoping for a laugh on this one cause it seems to fit.

Got started on the rear bumper last night. Need to get some more metal, but I feel better having SOMETHING back there. (plus I missed my "no tailgating light")

Got the fins and receiver mounted. Now just need to get my round tube for the sides.
Also thinking about figuring out a cool cup holder for the rear...tired of "soda" spilling when we sit on the back.

Found a free piece of angle iron to fill in the gap between bumper and body. Love freebies!

Very nice 4runner. I'm all about the on the cheap build as I have one in progress. I am incredibly jealous of you guys and your Arizona trucks. all of the times that you quoted throughout the build seem imaginable on the rusty trucks around here.

Bumper is DONE! (well, still need to mount my backup flood and install a brace between the two side-bars THEN it will be done.)

Ended up with about $100 invested in the materials...and probably $100 in favors for welding and bending from a few friends.

Looks awesome man, nice work. I'm thinking of adding another peace of tubing to mine just to push it back a little further. Again looks great.

Well, it's for sale...noticed quite a few 4runners locally fs in the $7k-$9k range in fairly stock condition so figured I'd stick it on CL and see what happens. I only paid $3k for it and probably have less than $1500 into it. What's the worst that can happen? Sell it, buy another one and do it again!
