I have a 1999 3.0L Diesel s'cab ute, and want to keep the good bits, and change the body, either by swapping everything over, or by cut & weld. Assuming both ways are going to take their longest routes, which is easier for a weak-kneed amateur with limited equipment and $?

PS I don't know if the cab/attachments are welded to the chassis. I would need a good description of how to go about it.

Better to find one needing a drive tran or a wreacked on db cab has longer frames. If u have a long bed u could swap a db cab on with a short bed p. then I'd just have to add to the back of the frame a little

 

THX, I hadn't considered that, I guess because of the cost of getting a late enough rolling chassis. Still, It's an idea. I can go to 2004 and swap wiring forms too I expect, as I definitely want to keep the mech injection.
