GoOffRoad's 1998 4Runner Build-Up Thread
Hi, I'm a certified automotive technician based in the beautiful Golden State.
I've learned a lot and finally lifted my 4runner about 5 inches, just getting this thread started pics are coming.
Suspension
Front spacers with 1" diff drop.
Rear 891 with LC shocks
2" BL
285/75R16 Cooper A/T3's
E-locker
146k miles as of date
I have an annoying vibration after 50mph or so it happened right after the lift and even after I replaced the tires to 32.8" and balanced. Also the alignment has been done twice. Vibration still persists.
I think it's the front cv axles but I did a 1" differential drop so I think it's the wear in the joints themselves, will post pics of the inspection process soon.

I fixed it. It was the driveahaft joints I only replaced the front ones that are right next to the transmission. When I tried them though I could not feel it . Gl
