some one pulled out in front of me in December but skipped a few unnecessary repairs to save some money and got me an ARB for about $450. thank you insurance. [IMG][/IMG]
didnt take any install pics but i already bent one of the brackets so I have to replace it and ill take pics then.
bolt holes didnt line up right (I think ARB changed the brackets) so I weldeded them on. turned out awesome. still need to clean up the welds though. The welder was having some issues.

I'm planning on getting the Toytec complete lift kit with 34s or 35s hopefully.
not sure what coils and springs to get though. Any suggestions and help figuring it out would be welcome and appreciated

New Tires
So the other day I got a flat tire.
Instead of wasting money on another street tire or a crappy all terrain like I had, I decided to upgrade.
I got Cooper Discoverer S/T Maxx 265/75R16
I love them.
on a side note, the stock bottle jack that came with my 4runner is the biggest piece of crap. A HiLift will definitely be my next purchase.

So I checked my gas mileage today for the first time since getting my tires and I'm getting about 13.8 mpg. I'm not really surprised, but I was wondering what kind of mileage everybody else gets vs. what you have done to your 4runner.

I haven't posted on here in a while. I have lots of pictures to share, but I don't have Internet at my house now. I don't want to deal with doing it from my phone but I'm going to try to get it done soon. Not a whole lot has been done but I have improved my sound system, added an alarm and limo tint on the back. Pics will follow soon.
Things that are next:
-fix spongy brakes(probably brake booster/ hopefully not master cylinder)
-fix saggy rear end. New shocks and springs all around maybe.
-plastidip rims and rear bumper. Maybe a few other things.
-new subwoofer box
-tighten belts/ hopefully the squeal is not another bad pulley bearing. Replaced one in the fall. It was a b****.
Was wondering about replacement shocks and springs though. I want to keep the stock height for now. Durable but affordable. Suggestions?

Long Overdue Update
Front and rear lift, rock sliders, and rear bumper/tire carrier parts ordered. February 2015
Parts starting to pile up.
Thats all for now. I hope to have the rear bumper finished by the end of July.
After that, my next course of action will be a locker and skids.
Toytec Boss coilovers
Sonoran Steel 1.2 Rear lift
Light Racing UCAs
Toytec 1" body lift
March 2015
I didn't take any pictures of the install, but this isn't a write up. Here is the after photos:
And new tires. Cordovan Wild Trac LTR Max 285/75/16
Just some cheap tires to hold me over for now. Hard to beat $700 for 5 tires mounted and balanced. It does help when your dad works at a tire shop though.
Bought a welder to make my rear bumper and weld on my sliders.
Was up til 12:30 AM the night before Jamboree welding on my sliders, and I woke up at 6 AM to paint them. I got Stubbs HD-SKO from Sonoran Steel when I ordered my lift. Probably because of lack of sleep I forgot to take pictures. Then I headed to Jamboree. I was having such a good time there, I forgot to take any pictures.
I had hoped to have my rear bumper done for Jamboree but I ran out of time. I still haven't had time to finish, but I am making progress.
Not too bad for the first time welding in 5 years.
Part of mock up
As it sits now
part of mock up for side wings.
Went out to Barnwell a few weekends ago.
