95 Tacoma speed sensor

95 Tacoma speed sensor
I have a 95 taco the speedo quit working check engine light came on plugged the obd2 reader in and got code p0500 speed sensor malfunction replaced the sensor and nothing speedo still does not work anybody else have this problem what do I check next
