Wiring help
Ok I ripped a defrost switch out of a toyota camry and want to use it in my 4runner as a switch in the remote line for the amp. But there are 5 prongs on the back of the switch, can anyone tell me what wires to use? there is a light on the switch also, I dont really care if that works or not. I just want to be able to switch off my amp if needed.

Pic is kind of, uhmmm well.........bad. Anyway best thing to do is use a ohm meter or continuity tester and find the wires that ring thru when the switch is on and dead when off.

Ya I know I took the pics with my phone camera. Well anyway I figured it out. I broke one of them open to peek a gander at how it works. I found the two that should be correct. Then wired the bad boy switch to my tv remote for testing!!!! Nothing like trying to hold two wires to a battery flip a switch and push the remote button at the same time!!! But it worked.
If anyone else for future referance is going to be doing this it is these two wires in this pic. It is the wires across from each other right below the single wire
I really need a multimeter or something
