Hello Josh. I knew didly squat the first time I hooked up my first set of Hella lamps.
I studied the info sheet, then it finally clicked.
I scanned this in a few months back for someone else.

Basically all your off road lamps should be wired through a 30 amp relay which you will see in the picture.
Most good lights come with some good installation info.
I am not really good at explaining how to wire them up, but I have done 3 sets on my rig now, and helped a few others in person do theirs.
It's one of those things I can do blind folded now, but hard to explain how I did it
Most lights though come with crappy switches. You can order one from any Toyota dealer.
I have 3 in the rig now, and they look factory.
See page one of my mods section for info on how to wire up the Toy switch to any brand of off road lamps
