Will this be stupid?

Hi, my name is greg my question is will it be stupid to mount off road lights on my roof on my bar that hold the ski rack?

welcome to the sight, not a stupid question at all, it is very effective yo mount lights up there... you will have to make mounts though, or at least somehow modify your rack to hold a light...

Exclamation sure just dont.

I saw a guy with a Thule roof rack once that drilled holes through the load bars and mounted lights on it, he even fished the wires down through the bar and pulled them out another hole in the back of the load bar. It looked good but the first time he loaded his rack down it bent the front bar down. Im not sure if this would be the way to go unless you dont use the rack for anything heavy. I guess you could get some accessory attachment brackets and fab up something, Im not sure!

The only clarification I would have :

Is your ski rack mounted to a factory (aluminum) rack or a Thule / Yakima load bar?
