Will 99 hood fit a 97..?

sup yota tech, well i have a opprotunity to trade my running boards for a 99 4runner hood. will this hood fit directly on to my 97 4runner.? has anybody every tried or done this..?? any information would be greatly appreciated. thank you in advance.

If memory serves me right all the 3rd gens all have inter changable hoods. So if you can get one with a scoop go for it

Where you buying the hood from? Im looking into the VIS motorsports Carbon Fiber hood with scoop. The only reason is that it cost like $400, and I dont need to paint it right away.

Definetly go with ViS. I just put mine on a couple of weeks ago. Nothing but compliments. Shipping was a PITA to pay...I wished I still lived in CA

i already have the hood. i traded my stock running boards for it. good deal for me if say so. now i just have to get it painted.

Here is the carbon fiber hood/scoop on my customers truck. More pics on my site.



Again, you can leave it carbon or paint it any color. I've shipped a few of these and they never get damaged during shipping, since they can't bend. If you decide on the Toyota™ hood, get it from a dealer because there is a good chance it will get bent during shipping if you order online.
