Why does the 4Runner dominate this board?

As compared to the Toyota half ton pickup (or Tacoma) that is... Is it seating capacity? Rear weight bias? Looks cooler? Coincidence? Most of the good info I lfind here is applicable to my half ton (assuming same vintage), but it seems like the bulk of owners here are 4Runner owners... Just curious is all.

Like me, we all saw the light. I had an 89 ex cab Toy pickup and realized how much better the 4runner is for seating capacity, interior room, ride quaility, wieght distribution, all witht the same front half I grew to love with the pickup! That's why I have a 4runner.

There is one reason why the 4runner is better than the pickup ....

... a BIG, comfy, sheltered, air conditioned, and radio playing, back seat for those HAWT dates!

Except that TTORA isn't just for Taco's anymore Membership has been open to all "Offroad capable Toyota's" since this summer.

Granted, Tacoma owners are still in the vast majority at the moment, but I wanted to clear up any misconceptions

YotaTech has leaned toward 4Runner's since I got here, but sometimes it's a nice change
