i did it, same mpg as before. 15-16 city, 18-ish highway. this is WITHOUT corrected numbers for bigger tires.

some people claim better mileage, that just didn't happen for me. it helps with higher-end power. i notice a little more power around 3k rpms. its not going to give you 50 HP or anything, its a cheap mod. it also sounds nicer at higher RPMs

I Second that!! Its gonna let your engine breathe better, In turn give a little bit of power, and a slight bit of throttle response!! but for like $10-$15 its cheap and gives you a nice added engine sound!!

I did not notice better gas mileage!!

deckplate, isr, and trueflow filter got me better mileage. Im getting 22mpg pretty consistantly now, and thats with winter gas, mix of highway and city driving.

I know it helped with my highway mileage, it just seems to not feel like its having to work as hard to breathe.

I've done it. No real difference, except sound, but I also went from 265/75's to 255/85's within a couple of days. Didn't notice a huge power loss w/ the tires, so maybe I gained from the deckplate?

I did Deckplate - ISR - Truflow and am getting approx. 20mpg. I was getting approx. 18.5mpg prior to all of this. My driving has stayed fairly consistent. I drive 20 miles each way to work, and record my mileage and fuel consumption every time I fuel up. Oh, and my gallons/month have been exceptional since I have been managing this project in CA and driving a rental car and my runner is sitting in ID.

19 mpg on ethanol tainted gas, been keeping records since 2/28/2006....was getting slightly better without the deckplate but I think it's 'cause I keep stomping on it to hear it go WHOMMMM!!!!! When I'm a good girl on the skinny I get about the same as pre-deckplate.

Its louder, thats it. Cost me $4 and 20 minutes so I really can't complain, it was worth a shot.

This mod never did empress me at all. It's done and I even did the elbow mod as well. No change in gas or horse power that I can tell but from the test I've heard about you should get about 10-15% more HP. Sounds good going up the steep grades,Lol. Mike

I dyno tested it on my 1999 Tacoma with the 3.4L. I gained about 6-7HP and 9ft lbs between 2000 and 4000 RPM. I've still got the dyno runs files and just took a look to be sure I'm quoting the numbers correctly.

Here ya go. This was on a 1999 Taco 3.4L 4x4 with a flowmaster 40 exhaust. The blue line is the deck plate opened with the stock air filter. The red line is with the deck plate closed.

Yep, that's about avg for a 3.4L V6

I'm guessing my 4Runner with the auto is less than that.
