I am looking for a place that will plate a set of brake rotors for me. I would prefer a yellow dichromate finish but a silver zinc coating would be ok as well. I am in Canada but could ship the rotors anywhere to have the plating done.

Mother nature will coat them for you with MUD.for free

 

May I ask why? The plating will just get worn off by the pads...

 

Just to keep the rust off of the surfaces that don't come in contact with the brake pads. Asking primarily for my car, the Runner rotors were already plated.

 

Why not paint them? It will cost you ~$7 and take less than an hour including dry time.

 

Just pickup a can of zinc chromate at your local paint shop and spray them. Total cost under $10.00, I have done this to a couple of cars I have owned.
