When ordering brake pads

Hey fellas,
Im soon going to be doing my first brake job when ordering brake pads do they come in sets of two or four...im going with power slots and hawk pads. Thanks.

they come in sets of 4, at least i've never seen a set of 2 anyhow

Always 4, a set will do the entire front or entire back.

Been there done that with power slots and hawk pads. I now have a warped set of powerslot paperweights.

Don't waste your time with power slots. Most places can't resurface them and they are only marginally better than stock if at all. Your problem is Tacoma brakes are way undersized. One good stop is all it takes to warp them.

You are better off buying regular rotors and staying stock or doing a 4runner big brake or Tundra brake swap.

Autozone/CSK have rotors with a 2 year warranty. Warp them and get new ones.
