Wheel, backspacing, brakes

New to the Tacoma scene, just picked up a 98 ex cab V6 5spd 4x4 last night

Anyway my 92 Runners head gasket blew last week, and Im really wanting to exchange her shoes (33x10.50x15 BFG ATs with barely 6000 miles on them on Crager soft 8s) not sure of the exact backspacing, but of course, they wont fit around the brake calipers... I dont want spacers, so does anyone know what back spacing is needed for fitment around the calipers????

Thanks

It's got 15s on it already. They fit AROUND the caliper. But the face of the wheel rubs the side if the caliper

I was lied too... I checked the vin.. Its a 97 whoopsie....
Wabbit, did the hubs make it???

I believe the cragers are 4.75 backspacing.... Sooo 4" would mean the wheels stick out further...? If the wheels are out further than then the wheel wouldnt touch the caliper, so would 4" work???

Spoke clearance makes as much (if not larger) of an impact as backspacing when it comes to brake clearance. That said, that's not helpful to you outside of saying "buy new wheels" since I'm new and not an expert on what does/doesn't clear.

Just kind of an FYI that backspacing isn't everything. Take spoke design into consideration too.

Well my thinking is less back spacing equals increased spoke angle equals More spoke clearance...
