Whats wrong with my speedo?
Both my speedo and odometer do not work. Id like to get them working again So I know how fast I'm going and when to change the oil on time. What could possibly be wrong?

I assume this in in your '81?
On the side of your transmission or transfer case there is a cable going up to the back of the speedometer cluster. The problem could be
1- the cable is loose, check both ends
2- the cable is broken, check both ends, look for wear too
3- the speedo, (the odo is part of the speedo)
4- the pencil gear that drives the cable
