285/75/16s on your stock 16s with a 1.5 to 2 inch lift will look nice. check out 4wheelparts.com they usually have deal with procomp, either buy 3 get one free or 15% off.

 

I run these for the past 18 months. Truck is a dedicated trail vehicle for some of the mud we deal with in GA.
Excellent grip in off road, a bit noisy, and I think the chunk easily and I have some cuts in the sidewall that should not have happened.
Also, gas mileage took a big hit 17 to about 13-14mpg

 

I am running Maxxis Trepadors 35 12.50 on 16's. I ran the Maxxis Buckshot on my IH Scout II and was impressed but still needed a bit more and wanted the tread to last longer... I know big difference in vehicle and weight but still... I run highway, in town, and off road (river beds, gravel bars, mild rock crawling, and flint hills trailing). I am pleased with the Trepadors b/c 1. the tread is tough and seems to last and hold out. 2. not too loud on the road (however I do run the stereo a bit loud but Polk Audio sounds sooo good). and 3. very good grip on ice and snow on the highway (you can actually hear the tread grab) and feel it when you come to a stop. the cons are that the tread is directional and one of my tires has worn funny so to balance is well it does not balance so I got a bit of a vibration at around 60-70mph! This could happen with any tire but man does it rub ya wrong when it happens...
I personally want to try out the new Nitto Trail but dont want to go to a 17" rim so I may have to try the Nitto Mud Grapplers.

 

When you say this, is part of the mpg loss due to running the tires at a low PSI since its a trail rig?

i just bought a set of 32x11.50 km2's for my 1980 toy pickup and so far they are unstoppable in all conditions mud rock slides snow gravel and sand and i love them!!

 

I run Toyo's (trails/mud) and Baja Claws (sand/snow).

 

265/70/16 General Grabber HTS. Ride nice and quiet and smooth so far. Only had them for 3 days.

Hey every one,

Just got my hankook rf10 tires installed. I dont like the white lettering, but it'll wear off i guess. So far, the feel of the ride is much better. I mean it is noticeable - no more noise and it rides much smoother. I haven't been able to test it in deep snow yet, due to good weather. However, it handled very well on 2 inches of solid ice.

One of my buddy who drives a jeep, now wants to buy a set of the same tires.

I am running 255/75/17 BFG Muds on 17" black FJ wheels

 

I run 265 75 16 Duratracs and they're nice. Looks good without a lift. Looks OK lifted. They don't clean out very well in the mud. Would I drop nearly 900 on these again? No.
I think I might hit up treadwright.com and go "green" with some retreads next time. Check that place out.

E-rated tires, ride a little stiff... but wearing very well... just run little less air pressure. Heck, the truck lives 50% offroad.
